The Freedom Journal<\/a> – a system devised by the founder of Entrepreneur on Fire. It was my first kickstarter funding. I committed to fund in January and my card only got deducted in February.<\/p>\nIn the 100-day programme, my goal is to make RM50,000 through a copywriting course hosted on Udemy.com<\/strong><\/span>. I need to realise this goal to strike off a few of my 10 goals for the next 12 months. How?<\/p>\n\n- Use this system to complete my CCS certification;<\/li>\n
- From RM50,000, use RM17,000<\/strong> to settle my hire purchase loan with Public Bank;<\/li>\n
- With the balance of RM33,000, RM30,000<\/strong> can be deposited into my AmBank TruSavers account for emergency purposes;<\/li>\n
- Promoting the course will position me as a copywriting expert<\/strong>, allowing me to command higher fees and handle more complex projects;<\/li>\n
- Through the course, I get to train & cultivate talents<\/strong> from all over the world. Among them could be my future collaborators and freelancers;<\/li>\n
- While promoting my Udemy course, I still need to publish my YouTube videos on Copywriting<\/strong>. Indirectly it will contribute to more videos being uploaded on YouTube and Udemy.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
Obviously the course will not end there. Even after I accomplish the goal, I continue to receive revenue. Robert Kiyosaki teaches us to build our assets, i.e. things that put money into our pockets. It’s 2016. Owning a piece of real property may be beyond my current budget. It does not mean I cannot build revenue generating intellectual property.<\/p>\n
In terms of income goals, after clearing out my hire purchase loan, emergency savings, tax deductions, and keeping RM60,000 in CSSB’s current account, my goal is to create enough passive revenue from my Udemy courses<\/strong> to match my basic expenses in the Klang Valley.<\/p>\nWhat are my basic expenses?<\/p>\n
\n- House rental: RM1,600 per month<\/li>\n
- Internet: RM290 per month<\/li>\n
- Electricity: RM300 per month<\/li>\n
- Water: RM36 per month<\/li>\n
- Mobile phone: RM150 per month<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
That brings to a grand monthly total of RM2,376.00<\/strong> (Ringgit Malaysia Two Thousand Three Hundred Seventy Six Only).<\/p>\nWhat’s so different about The Freedom Journal?<\/h1>\n
I’ve downloaded several goals and habit tracking apps. Nothing is as persistent as The Freedom Journal. I’m struggling to keep pace, but I am amazed by the move I am making in my studies because of it.<\/p>\n
I had my reservation. I guess I am desperate now to accomplish. It’s an age-push desperation. Huh? I’m turning 30 this year. I don’t have much to show for my accomplishments. It’s biting me in the behind!<\/p>\n

Coming Back to my Goals<\/h1>\n
I realised that I haven’t talked much about my new job and the role that I play. I’ll do so soon. After I clear my personal and financial goals, my career\/professional goals will come clear. Plus these goals were formulated before I relocated to Kuala Lumpur.<\/p>\n
So, my revised<\/span> 10 Goals for the Next 12 months now are:<\/p>\n\n- Raising CSSB<\/strong><\/span> account to a surplus of RM60,000<\/strong><\/span> through copywriting projects before moving copywriting and communications operations to a limited liability partnership registered under the LLP Act;<\/li>\n
- I make RM200,000<\/strong><\/span> in all of 2016 for myself through my companies, businesses, and investments;<\/li>\n
- I handle high level copywriting projects<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0like white papers, business and development proposal writing, company profiles, and annual reports;<\/li>\n
- I clear my car loan<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0(RM17,300 as of January 2016), renew its road tax, and car insurance;<\/li>\n
- Complete the Certified Copywriting Specialist<\/strong><\/span> certification from the Business Training Institute;<\/li>\n
- Set aside RM30,000<\/strong><\/span> in my AmBank TruSavers account for emergency purposes;<\/li>\n
- Attend the\u00a0BNI Malaysia 2016 National Conference<\/strong><\/span>;<\/li>\n
- Produce 50 videos<\/strong><\/span> on Copywriting through the AdvertWriter Toolkit; and<\/li>\n
- Build my virtual infrastructure with virtual assistants & freelancers<\/strong><\/span> to help me scale and grow my copywriting business;<\/li>\n
- Open a Private Retirement Scheme (PRS)<\/strong><\/span> account, investing in an approved Growth Fund, with RM5,500<\/strong><\/span> (Ringgit Malaysia Three Thousand Only) to also enjoy the Individual Income Tax Relief for next Financial Year 2016 and insurance coverage.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
